Miraval Resorts: Information Architecture

OVERVIEW

Miraval Resorts tasked our team with the redesign of their website. My challenge for this project was to create a new information architecture that would allow guests to easily understand the broad range of activities and resort offerings with a flow for both “quick and easy” navigation vs “discovery and exploratory” paths.

Understand & IDENTIFY

Our first task was to understand ways who our users are and how they are navigating and exploring the resort activities. It was also important for us to consider how the resort wanted their guests to arrive at decisions.

Structure & Simplicity

The site map should easily reflect an information architecture based on two very different routes into the content. One represents a rational and calculating slow path while the other represents an emotionally driven fast path into the same content depth.
